（What is a business/management visa?）経営・管理ビザとは

The "Management and Administration Visa" is a status of residence for foreigners who wish to establish a company in Japan to manage a business, manage a business, or invest in and manage a business.

Specifically, this visa is required for the following activities

Activities to start and manage a business in Japan or to engage in the management of a business in Japan.

Activities to participate in the management of a business already in operation in Japan or to engage in the management of such a business.

Activities to manage or engage in the management of a business in Japan on behalf of a person who manages a business in Japan, including a corporation.

In addition, if the applicant has commenced the management of a trade or other business in Japan and is applying for a business administration visa, the applicant must also meet all of the following conditions.

The place of business for operating the business must exist in Japan. However, if the business has not yet started, the applicant must have a facility in Japan to be used as a business to operate the business.

The scale of the business pertaining to the application must fall under any of the following
(a) The business is operated by two or more full-time employees residing in Japan other than those engaged in its management or administration (specifically, Japanese nationals, special permanent residents, permanent residents, spouses, etc. of Japanese nationals, spouses, etc. of permanent residents, and permanent residents are eligible). (a) The business must be operated by a person who is engaged in the business.
(b) The amount of capital or the total amount of capital contribution must be 5 million yen or more.
(c) The size of the company must be equivalent to (a) or (b).

Normally, the above requirements must be met prior to entry into Japan.

It is necessary to conduct preparatory activities such as securing a business partner in Japan who will cooperate with you, signing an office lease, etc., making it extremely difficult to establish a business by yourself.

「経営・管理ビザ」は、外国人が日本で会社を設立して事業の経営を行う場合や、事業の管理を行う場合、その事業に投資して経営を行う場合などに取得する在留資格です。

具体的には以下の活動を行う際に必要な在留資格です。

1. 日本において事業の経営を開始してその経営を行い又はその事業の管理に従事する活動
2. 日本において既に営まれている事業に参画してその経営を行い又はその事業の管理に従事する活動
3. 法人を含む日本において事業の経営を行っている者に代わってその経営を行い又はその事業の管理に従事する活動

また、申請人が日本において貿易その他の事業の経営を開始し、経営管理ビザを申請する場合には以下のいずれにも該当している必要があります。

1. 事業を営むための事業所が日本に存在すること。ただし，その事業が開始されていない場合にあっては，その事業を営むための事業として使用する施設が日本に確保されていること。
2. 申請に係る事業の規模が次のいずれかに該当していること。
   イ　その経営又は管理に従事するもの以外に日本に居住する２人以上の常勤職員（具体的には、日本に居住する日本人、特別永住者、永住者、日本人の配偶者等、永住者の配偶者等、定住者が対象となります。）が従事して営まれるものであること。
   ロ　資本金の額又は出資の総額が５００万円以上であること。
   ハ　イ又はロに準ずる規模であると認められるものであること。

通常は入国前に上記の要件を満たさなければなりません。

日本で協力してくれるビジネスパートナーの確保や事務所の賃貸契約等の準備活動を行う必要があり、一人で創業することは極めて困難となります。
