(What is a startup visa?)スタートアップビザとは

As I wrote last time, a regular business/management visa is a requirement.
① Opening an office
② Employment of 2 or more full-time people or domestic capital or investment of 5 million yen or more
must be met before entering the country,

If you use the Foreign Entrepreneurial Activities Promotion Project (Startup Visa), you can start business activities such as opening an office, hiring two or more full-time employees, or raising domestic capital or investment of 5 million yen or more within 6 months after entering the country. It is possible to do so.

We recommend using this system if you want to start a business in Japan but do not have a business partner in Japan.
However, this system is not available everywhere in Japan.
Certified local governments are eligible, and in some cases, eligible business fields are specified.

For example, in Yokohama City, the target business fields are:

IoT field and life innovation field

Business using innovative technology

Knowledge aggregation/added value creation type business

Other projects aiming to create new industries

*General wholesale and retail trade, trading companies, food and beverage businesses, lodging businesses, service businesses, etc. are not eligible.

As such, it is necessary to check before applying.

前回にも書きましたが、通常の経営・管理ビザは、要件である
①事務所の開設
②常勤２名以上の雇用又は５００万円以上の国内での資本金又は投資等
を入国前に満たす必要がありますが、

外国人起業活動促進事業（スタートアップビザ）を利用すると、入国後 の6か月間で事務所の開設や常勤２名以上の雇用又は５００万円以上の国内での資本金又は投資等といった創業活動を行うことが可能です。

日本で創業・起業したいが、日本でビジネスパートナーがいない場合にこの制度を利用することをお勧めします。
しかし、日本であればどこでもこの制度が利用できるわけではありません。
認定された地方公共団体が対象となりますし、対象となる事業分野が指定されているケースもあります。

例えば、横浜市においては対象となる事業分野が、

1. IoT分野及びライフイノベーション分野
2. 革新的技術を用いた事業
3. 知識集約・付加価値創造型事業
4. その他、新産業創造を目指す事業

※一般的な卸売業や小売業、商社・貿易業、飲食業、宿泊業、サービス業などは対象となりません。

といったように指定されておりますので、申請前に確認が必要です。
