2026年度から在留資格手数料が大幅値上げへ

政府は2026年度以降、在留資格（ビザ）関連の手数料を欧米並みに引き上げる方向で検討しています。現在、配偶者ビザの更新手数料は 窓口申請は6,000円、オンライン申請は5,500円 ですが、今後は 10,000〜15,000円台 まで値上がりする可能性があります。

■ 配偶者ビザの更新費用はどう変わる？

現時点で正式発表はありませんが、制度見直し案から以下が予測されます：

• 窓口申請は6,000円、オンライン申請は5,500円 → 10,000〜15,000円 の範囲へ上昇の可能性
• 審査がより厳格化（納税・収入・同居実態の確認強化）
• 窓口混雑の長期化が予測される

■ 早めの更新が安全な理由

• 値上げ前の費用で更新できる
• 2026年以降の審査強化を避けられる
• 外国人家庭は更新遅延が生活に直結するためリスクが大きい
• 3ヶ月前から更新できるため先んじた申請が有利

配偶者ビザ更新で「費用」より注意すべき点

配偶者ビザの更新において重要なのは、手数料の金額そのものではありません。
実務上は、婚姻の実態・生活状況・収入状況の説明が結果を左右します。

特に次のようなケースでは、更新前の整理が重要になります。

• 別居期間がある、または生活実態を説明しづらい
• 収入が不安定、転職・退職があった
• 前回も1年更新だった
• 今後の在留や永住も視野に入れている

配偶者ビザは「自動更新」ではなく、
状況によっては追加説明や資料整理が求められる在留資格です。

更新期限が近づいてから慌てるよりも、
早い段階で状況を整理しておくことが結果につながるケースが多くあります。

Significant fee increase expected from FY2026

The Japanese government plans to raise immigration-related fees from FY2026. The current Spouse Visa renewal fee is 6,000 yen for in-person applications and 5,500 yen for online applications, and it may increase to around 10,000–15,000 yen in the future.

What matters more than the renewal fee for a spouse visa

For spouse visa renewals, the fee itself is not the most important factor.
In practice, the actual marital relationship, living situation, and financial stability are what Immigration carefully reviews.

Advance preparation is especially important if any of the following apply:

• There has been a period of separation or limited cohabitation
• Your income is unstable or you recently changed jobs
• You received only a 1-year renewal previously
• You are considering long-term stay or permanent residence

A spouse visa is not renewed automatically.
Depending on your circumstances, additional explanations or documentation may be required.

Clarifying your situation early often leads to smoother outcomes than waiting until the final stage.
