2024年11月20日の読売新聞オンラインの報道により、外国人の在留手続き手数料が2026年度に大幅値上げされる方針が明らかになりました。 在留資格の変更・更新は現在6,000円ですが、3〜4万円へと一気に数倍へ引き上げられる見込みです。
1. 値上げは「2026年度中」に実施 → 2026年4月〜2027年3月のいずれか
報道では「来年度中（2026年度中）に実施」と明記されています。 したがって、新手数料は2026年4月1日〜2027年3月31日の間に導入される可能性が極めて高いです。
引き上げ案（政府案）
- 在留資格の変更：6,000円 → 3〜4万円
- 在留期間の更新（1年以上）：6,000円 → 3〜4万円
- 永住許可申請：1万円 → 10万円以上
- 査証（ビザ）手数料も欧米並みに値上げへ
